Welcome to our special PRIDE Month Retailer Spotlight! Today, we’re thrilled to feature Jenna, the inspiring esthetician behind Beyond The Binary by Jenna Leigh Skin. Based in Dallas, TX, Jenna has been championing inclusivity and creating a queer and

A JOURNEY SPARKED BY COVID
Jenna's path to becoming an esthetician is both inspiring and relatable. Like many, the COVID-19 pandemic was a time of reflection and rebirth for her. "I've always been interested in the science behind skincare," Jenna shares. "But it really didn't come to fruition until COVID hit. I knew I could take that time to go to esthetics school while also working my full-time job. The very beginning of 2020 was the time for re-birth, at least it was for me."
THE POWER OF BEING SOLO
Jenna is a proud solo-preneur. "I am fully solo! I love being in control of the totality of my space I provide, as well as the services I provide," she explains. This independence allows her to create a uniquely personalized experience for each client. From heating pads on the bed to thoughtful conversations about skincare and life, Jenna ensures every visit is special.
CREATING A QUEER AND NON-BINARY FRIENDLY SPACE
Jenna's commitment to inclusivity is at the heart of Beyond The Binary. She offers gender-neutral pricing for all services, ensuring everyone feels welcome and valued. "All of my services are free of gender! My clients pay the exact same price no matter what
they identify as," she states. This approach eliminates the outdated gendered pricing structure, fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all clients.
Jenna, who identifies as a bisexual woman, emphasizes the importance of understanding and respecting both gender identity and sexual preference. "For myself, I was born a woman and I identify as a woman - which would be my gender identity. My sexual preference is anyone of any gender - whether they identify as a male or a female - I am attracted to both."
ADVOCATING FOR INCLUSIVITY EVERY DAY
For Jenna, PRIDE is a daily celebration. "I live my life out and proud! I am the fullest version of myself every single day," she proudly shares. Jenna actively supports her local LGBTQ+ community by sponsoring a drag show company in Dallas and attending local drag shows as often as possible. "It's so important to be active in your community!"
