Meet Adriana Keith: Building Confidence, Connection, and Aureate Aesthetics
There are some estheticians who make you feel taken care of before the service even begins. Adriana Keith is one of them. As the founder of Aureate Aesthetics in Dallas, Texas, Adriana has built a business rooted in education, grace, genuine connection, and a whole lot of personality. Six years into her career, she is proving that incredible results matter, but the way you make people feel matters just as much.
From Lashes to a Love for Esthetics
Adriana’s beauty career actually started while she was away at college in Greensboro, North Carolina. She began doing lashes as a way to make some extra money and avoid having to call home for financial help. What started as a side hustle quickly became something much bigger.
After about a year, she realized she genuinely loved the beauty industry and wanted to build a real career from it. When she learned she would need a professional license after moving back home to Illinois, she enrolled in esthetics school just one week after graduating college.
She originally thought the program would simply help support her lash business. Instead, esthetics school introduced her to skincare and waxing, and that is where everything clicked.
Today, those discoveries have evolved into a business centered around intimate skincare, education, and helping clients feel more confident in the skin they are in.
Solo, But Never Really Alone
Adriana currently works as a solopreneur, but there is plenty of community surrounding her.
She rents a salon suite alongside a group of women she describes as having become her sisters. That balance gives her the freedom and independence she loves about working solo, while still surrounding her with other business owners who inspire, encourage, and understand one another.
And while she loves the season she is in now, Adriana can see a team in Aureate Aesthetics' future.
For her, there is something special about being surrounded by people with similar goals who can motivate each other to keep growing.
Grace Is Part of the Client Experience
Ask Adriana what keeps clients coming back, and the answer goes far beyond the treatment room.
She leads with grace.
Her goal is for every appointment to feel like a safe space because, as she puts it, you never know what someone is carrying when they walk into your suite.
Even her policies reflect that philosophy. Adriana does not charge late fees. She keeps a 15-minute grace period to protect her schedule, but she would rather approach real life with understanding than immediately penalize someone for running behind.
Her policies are there to protect her business, not to nickel and dime her clients.
That mindset carries into the entire appointment. Clients know they can talk about anything, and what is said in the suite stays in the suite. A 20-minute appointment can somehow fit in a full catch-up, a few laughs, some education, and what Adriana jokingly describes as a therapy session.
It is a reminder that sometimes the thing clients remember most is not the wax itself. It is how they felt while they were there.
Changing the Conversation Around Intimate Skincare
Adriana is especially passionate about changing the way people think about intimate skincare.
Hyperpigmentation, ingrown hairs, irritation, and other skin concerns are often treated like something people simply have to accept. Adriana wants her clients to know there are options.
Her approach is equal parts education and relatability. She knows how vulnerable intimate skincare concerns can feel, and she loves being able to remind clients that they are far from alone.
When someone comes in embarrassed about hyperpigmentation, ingrowns, or a skin concern, Adriana is often able to meet that vulnerability with a very human response: me too.
That connection removes some of the shame and opens the door for actual education.
Her suite is a place to laugh, learn, ask questions, and leave feeling better than when you walked in.
Aftercare Without the Sales Pitch
That same educational approach is exactly how Adriana handles retail.
Instead of jumping into a product recommendation, she starts with questions.
What are you currently using to exfoliate? How are you moisturizing? How long have you used those products? Has your skin improved, stayed the same, or gotten worse?
If the answer is anything other than improved, Adriana sees an opportunity to educate.
She talks clients through different methods of exfoliation, explains why consistency matters, and makes sure moisturizing gets the attention it deserves. From there, she can recommend products based on an actual concern instead of simply trying to make a sale.
For Adriana, retail should feel like problem solving.
Once a client understands why a step matters, the product recommendation becomes a natural extension of the service.
The Zandi Land Favorite
Adriana considers herself a fan of the entire Zandi Land lineup, but there is one product that takes the top spot: Deck Scrub.
As someone who will happily hype pumice over sugar, she loves that Deck Scrub stays intact while exfoliating instead of dissolving almost immediately. For her, that means a more thorough exfoliation experience and a product she can confidently recommend to clients.
And before she ever tried the formulas, it was the Zandi Land branding that caught her eye.
She loves the clean, elevated packaging and how naturally it fits into an esthetician’s space. As a business owner, she also appreciates having an easy retail option when a product sells out in her suite. Rather than leaving a client without their aftercare, she can send them directly to her affiliate link so they can stay consistent with their routine.
For us at Zandi Land, that is exactly what professional aftercare should do. It should make education easier for the esthetician and consistency easier for the client.
More Than an Appointment
One of the biggest lessons Adriana has learned during her six years in the industry is that esthetics is about much more than performing a service.
Clients are trusting their providers with their confidence, their vulnerability, and sometimes the insecurities they have carried for years.
A little patience matters. A genuine conversation matters. Making someone laugh matters. Creating a space where someone feels completely comfortable matters.
As Adriana sees it, a client might not remember the exact wax they received three months ago, but they will remember how you made them feel.
That philosophy is woven throughout Aureate Aesthetics.
Adriana does not simply want someone to book an appointment, pay, and leave. She wants clients to walk out feeling educated, empowered, cared for, and maybe like they gained a new friend along the way.
Building a Dream One Client at a Time
Behind the beautiful suite, great results, and polished social media is a real person building a business.
Adriana is a business owner, esthetician, content creator, and mom. Her days begin with emails, DMs, and client messages before she even arrives at the suite. Between appointments, there are towels to wash, content ideas to brainstorm, products to restock, notes to update, and a business to keep moving.
Then, when the workday ends, she makes an effort to unplug, spend intentional time with her family, cook dinner, and recharge.
It is not always perfectly polished. There is hard work, constant learning, plenty of growth, and, in her words, sometimes a few tears.
But Adriana would not want to be doing anything else.
She has celebrated weddings, babies, graduations, new jobs, breakups, and countless other chapters alongside the people who once started as names on her appointment book. Those relationships have become one of her favorite parts of the career she accidentally discovered through a college side hustle.
And through every season, she continues to show up as herself.
Authentic. Grace-filled. Educational. Welcoming. And committed to creating a space where people can feel a little more confident in their skin. Follow Adriana @aureaeaesthetics
