FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL MAKEUP TO A CAREER IN ESTHETICS
Tayler’s journey into esthetics wasn’t your typical straight path. "Honestly, I had no idea what an esthetician was or that my love for beauty even had a name," she admits. Her love for makeup sparked back in middle school when she first found her mom’s makeup bag. That moment shaped her passion, leading her to perfect her skills at the “University of YouTube” before officially studying beauty.
Though she dabbled in traditional education at Hampton University, Tayler quickly realized her heart belonged in the beauty world. After moving to Charlotte, NC, in 2020, she took the leap to pursue her dream. “I had done extensive research on different esthetic schools and knew I found what I fit into most,” she shares. Now, she’s a proud solo-preneur with a flourishing business, transforming client experiences one wax at a time.
SOLO-PRENEURSHIP: CRAFTING A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Tayler thrives as a solo-preneur, loving the intimate, personal environment she’s created at Cloud9 Esthetics. Having managed a salon for two years, she knows the perks of a team environment but ultimately values the one-on-one connection with her clients. "I love being able to customize each experience and be my authentic self while ensuring the happiness of every client," she says.
